Luger handgun
George Luger has created world famous "Automatic pistol" approximately in 1898, having taken for a basis a cartridge and system of lock-out of design Hugo Borchard . Luger modified lever system of lock-out Borchard's, having made its more compact. In 1900-1902 Switzerland takes advantage the army of Automatic handguns of model 1900 of caliber 7.65??. Hardly later George Ljuger, together with firm DWM (the core Automatic pistols in first quarter XX of a century) redesigns the cartridge under a bullet of caliber 9mm, and on light appears the most mass handguns a cartridge in the world 9x19mm the Luger automatic pistol. In 1904 the automatic pistol of caliber 9?? is accepted on arms of the German fleet, and in 1908 - the German army. In the further Lugers consisted on arms in many countries of the world, and were in build at least up to 1950? years.
Pistol represents an auto-loading pistol with single action. The pistol is constructed under the scheme with a short course of a trunk and lockout by system of levers. In position levers are in position of “a dead point”, rigidly fixing a shutter in connected with a trunk mobile to a box. At a withdrawal of all system of levers back under influence of feedback after a shot, levers the central axis find on a ledge of a framework which forces them to pass "a dead point" and "o develop" upwards, unlocking a trunk and allowing a shutter to leave back. Lugers were issued with the most different lengths of trunks - from 98 mm up to 203 mm (artillery model) and more. They also levers in a variant "carbine", with a long trunk, demountable wooden butt. Some (early) models were equipped with an automatic safety lock on the back party of the handle.
As a whole, Automatic pistols differed rather convenient handle providing comfortable and a convenient aiming, good accuracy of shooting. However, they were complex (and as consequence of road) in manufacture, and are rather sensitive to pollution.
