It is best branded for the engineering, production, and marketing of dozens of various firearms over the later half of the 19th and the 20th century. A rejuvenated Colt embraces the year 1999 with a backlog of military rifle and carbine orders amounting to about 59,000 units. This include orders for exclusive production of the M-4 carbine extending through the year 2010. On the commercial side, a new achievement of Ultra Light Arms, Inc. puts Colt back in the sporting rifle industry. The Colt Cowboy revolver and Pocket Nine pistol are also added to the product line. With the completion of a pair of extremely engraved and gold inlaid Dragoon revolvers, the Colt Custom Shop proves once more that it is the top in the industry.
